When someone shows up at the front door and posts a "Notice of Default" - NOW IS THE TIME! In fact, after you missed a payment you are in default. Some homeowners believe that I'll just send in half a payment, to find out later next month they are now two payments behind!
The agreement you have with your bank is to make that certain payment every month, half a payment will not do & to top it off, that payment you sent is now on it's way back in the mail because they didn't process it.
Please, please, pleasediscuss with your bank first if you are sending half payments, etc. Write down the persons name you spoke with and extension, date, and time... anything that will validate your commitment to your monthly payments.
